    Welcome to Muskego Music Friends!

The Muskego High School Music Friends is a non-profit organization through which parents and friends can support the music department at Muskego High School.

Music Friends coordinates volunteer work, raises funds and acts as an advocate for the arts. All Muskego High School music parents are members of the group.

Music Friends provides financial support and helping hands for things like:
    • Scholarships and awards
    • Funding for visiting musicians and clinicians
    • Concert refreshments and ushers
    • Lobby decorations
    • Additional staff and equipment
If you are interested in joining us, please come as you are -- we'd love to have you join us.  Regular meetings are held in the choir/band room, on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm -- we'd love to have you join us.  We meet in the HS Choir Room.  Please enter using doors "25" on the south side of the high school, immediately west of the PAC.

For several years now the MHS Music Department has been accepting donations for the Muskego Food Pantry at each concert or other musical performance. This year will be no different.

The Food Pantry is a non-profit organization which strives to improve the quality of life for community residents who are temporarily experiencing difficulty providing sufficient food and household staples for themselves. Throughout the school year the Food Pantry receives food and non-food items from schools, churches, individuals and businesses, and they in turn provide what is needed to those expressing need. During the summer months however, donations reach a critically low point, and right now the need is still urgent. They are always in need of canned meats like chicken, tuna and Spam, boxed potato mixes, canned or bottled pasta products such as Spaghetti-Os and pasta sauce. Household and personal items are always needed, such as toothpaste and toothbrushes, shampoo, paper towels and toilet paper, bar or liquid soaps, detergent and other cleaning supplies. And don’t forget pets! A bag of cat or dog food can make the difference between having a pet and having to give it up for adoption.

When you come to the first Band and Choir concerts this month, please remember to bring a food or non-food item with you and leave it in one of the large, brightly decorated barrels in the Performing Arts Center lobby. Then enjoy a fabulous concert presented by our wonderfully talented musicians and vocalists. Donations will be accepted throughout the school year—it’s always the right time to help those less fortunate.

We are introducing a new program to generate income and we really need everyone to seriously consider it. We are going to have some big ticket items that need to be purchased before the 2012-13 school year. Without having to sell pizzas and other "stuff", you can earn money for the Muskego Music Department while you shop. Buy the things that you normally would, just go through the Market America Muskego site here. www.shopmuskegomusic.com
Its that simple. We will earn a percentage of every dollar spent. As a customer, you will also earn cash back for yourself. With over 3500 partner stores, you should be able to find everything you need. Best Buy, Apple, Walmart, Target and Travelocity are just a few of the stores included. Imagine if everyone booked their vacations through our site? The dollars could add up quickly! Thank you for taking the time to support Music Friends.

Have gently used musical instruments that you are no longer using?  Consider donating them to the Music Friends.  Contact us to be donate.

Check the menu items to the left for lots of information, like calendars, ongoing events, becoming a volunteer, donating, discussing and more!
